How to check the plastic extruder for idling test?

May 20, 2022

Generally speaking, after the placement of the machine is completed, it is necessary to carry out a detailed inspection. After the installation of the plastic extruder is completed, it is necessary to carry out an idle commissioning inspection to avoid waste of materials. At the same time, it is necessary to check whether the parameters of the plastic extruder operate normally, so as to find out the problems and find out the causes in time. How to check the plastic extruder for idling test?

1、 Heating and temperature rise of each section of the plastic extruder barrel for idling test run inspection.

① The temperature of each section of the plastic extruder barrel shall be heated, and the temperature control instrument shall be adjusted according to the process temperature requirements.

② Use the mercury thermometer to detect the temperature of each section of the machine barrel, verify and adjust the instrument display temperature and the detection temperature of the mercury thermometer.

③ Check whether there is a heating circuit open circuit alarm in the heating device and whether it can work correctly.

④ After the barrel is heated to the process temperature, it shall be heated at constant temperature for 1 hour, and the heating time shall be recorded.

⑤ Retighten the connecting screws between the barrel and the barrel seat.

⑥ Start the driving screw motor at low speed, and observe whether the swing of the voltmeter and ammeter is abnormal; Check whether the screw rotates smoothly; Listen to whether the operating sound of all transmission parts is abnormal. Stop the machine immediately when everything is normal. Note: the screw idling time shall not exceed 3min.

2、 The barrel of the plastic extruder is not heated and heated for idling test run inspection.

① The control box circuit is closed for power supply.

② Start the lubricating oil pump, lubricate the gearbox for 3min, and add lubricating oil to all lubricating parts.

③ Check that the hopper is free of any foreign matters. Move the V-belt again, and it shall rotate smoothly without blocking.

④ Start the screw drive motor at low speed.

⑤ Observe whether the pointer of voltmeter and ammeter of plastic extruder swings normally.

⑥ Verify whether the screw rotation direction is correct

⑦ Check that the emergency stop button on the test equipment can work accurately and reliably.

⑧ Check whether the lubricating oil working pipeline is smooth, whether the injection position is correct, and whether there is oil leakage at all parts.

⑨ Check the cooling water pipeline of the plastic extruder to ensure that there is no leakage.

⑩ Check the screw and check the high and low speed (r/min) of the screw drive shaft, which shall be consistent with the instructions.
