What Should Be Checked After The Installation Of A New Unused Extruder?

May 12, 2022

Generally speaking, after the installation of new extruders that have not been used, the first thing to do is to conduct a comprehensive inspection.

1. Check whether all fasteners have been tightened.

2. Check whether all lubricating points are filled with sufficient lubricating oil or grease.

3. The oil sump or reduction gearbox shall be cleaned first, and check whether there are sundries, metal chips, etc. falling into the sump or gearbox, and then inject them into the sump or gearbox according to the specified lubricating oil brand or quantity.

4. When the transmission system of the extruder uses oil pump for forced lubrication, check whether the rotation direction of the oil pump meets the specified requirements, and whether the oil pressure and circulation are good.

5. Check whether the rotation direction of main motor and vacuum pump motor is correct.

6. Check whether the tension of each V-belt is consistent.

7. Check whether the adjusting nut position of the clutch is appropriate and whether the opening, closing and operation of the clutch are flexible. If the pneumatic clutch is used, check whether the air supply pressure, air supply volume and the reduced pressure through the pressure reducing valve meet the specified requirements.

8. Check whether the water pipe, steam pipe and vacuum chamber are well sealed, and whether the valve can be opened and closed flexibly and reliably.

9. Check whether the electrical grounding of the whole equipment is good.
