Generally speaking, in today's society, among various types of plastic machinery, pipe extrusion machinery is also one of the most important types. According to the material flow direction of the head and the included angle of the screw centerline, the extrusion machine can divide the head into right angle head and oblique angle head.

Screw extruder relies on the pressure and shear force generated by screw rotation, which can make the materials fully plasticized and evenly mixed, and then formed through the die.

Today, let's focus on the maintenance of extruder barrel screws:

The barrel cleaning agent is used for the barrel screw of the extruder. If the raw materials for injection products are changed frequently or the plasticizing temperature range of the residual materials in the barrel is quite different from that of the refueling, it is economical to use barrel cleaning agent in order to save raw materials and improve work efficiency. The special cleaning agent is a substance similar to rubber material, which does not melt at high temperature in the barrel and is in the shape of softened micelles in the screw thread groove. When moving forward in the screw thread groove, it can take away the residual materials and clean the barrel.

The screw rod of the extruder barrel accurately weighs the weight of the required wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy, and then heats it to melt. The barrel body heated to the specified temperature is taken out of the heating furnace and quickly placed on the centrifugal casting machine for high-speed rotation. The melted wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy is quickly poured into the inner cavity of the high-speed rotating barrel body, and the wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy and the hole wall of the barrel body are fused and condensed into a whole by centrifugal force.

In the worn part of the extruder barrel screw, the bushing can be replaced. However, the whole bushing is usually replaced in the extruder barrel, so the maintenance cost is more expensive, so it is not cost-effective. Once the screw is worn at a certain point, the melt will return to the thread, resulting in further accelerated wear of the screw and barrel. Severe wear and tear will cause a large amount of resin to be wasted and reduce productivity. However, the occurrence of severe wear can be prevented through regular PM inspection. The maintenance strategy is to keep the screw / barrel clearance within a reasonable range.
